An area of tropical low pressure will continue to bring flooding rainfall across northern Australia through the middle of the coming week. While the threat for tropical cyclone development is lessening, the concern for flooding rain will not.
Rainfall has already totaled just over 450 mm (18 inches) in Port Keats while Darwin has received 287 mm (11.3 inches) of rain since Wednesday. The threat for heavy rain will lessen in these areas early in the week.
Heavy rain has also fallen away from the coast with Daly Waters receiving 216 mm (8.5 inches) of rain since Saturday.
