In the wake of a cold front that brought a soaking rain to much of Germany on Tuesday, cooler air will replace the recent warmth that has been felt across the nation for the past week.
Gusty northwest winds will be felt across the entire country on Wednesday and Thursday as cooler air spreads over the region.
Highs on Wednesday will range from 3-7 C (38-45 F), markedly cooler than previous days but still several degrees above normal for the beginning of February.
Accompanying the cooler air, showers will occur at times both on Wednesday and Thursday from Hamburg to Berlin. A few showers are also expected each day in Frankfurt and Munich.
Rainfall will generally average 6-12 mm (0.25-0.50 of an inch) through Thursday.
