A strengthening storm will pass over the southern United Kingdom on Tuesday night into Wednesday bringing a period of locally heavy rain and strong winds.

Rain will spread into Wales and Southwest England on Tuesday evening, advancing eastward through southern England on Tuesday night.

Rain will continue into Wednesday morning across Greater London, East England and South East England before ending as showers during the afternoon.
