A dangerous and potentially life-threatening flooding situation will unfold from part of bayou country in Texas and Louisiana to the Ozark Mountains and the lower Mississippi Valley during the rest of this week.

The same storm that pounded Southern California with more rain and snow on Monday will direct a fire hose of moisture into the South Central states spanning several consecutive days.
