Heavy rain caused flooding from northern Pakistan into northern India into Monday. The area will see a brief break from rain on Tuesday, but rain and the threat for flooding will return beginning on Wednesday.
The hardest hit areas were from northern Pakistan into Jammu and Kashmir as well as Himachal Pradesh in India.
Northern Afghanistan, Pakistan and northwestern India will have a brief break from the rain on Tuesday allowing flood water to recede. The break from the rain, however, will be short-lived as more rain moves into the region on Wednesday.
