Another day, another outrageous threat from the Hermit Kingdom. On Sunday the North Korean government touted the lethality of its nuclear arsenal, most likely in response to the annual war games being conducted by the militaries of South Korea and the US.

“Our hydrogen bomb is much bigger than the one developed by the Soviet Union,” the North claimed on state-run television, before adding “If this H-bomb were to be mounted on an intercontinental ballistic missile and fall on Manhattan in New York City, all the people there would be killed immediately and the city would burn down to ashes.” So far however, there’s been no word on whether or not Kim Jong-un has a bridge to sell to incinerated New Yorkers.

The veiled threat follows a long string of recent provocations from Pyongyang. Kim Jong-un was recently filmed beside a silver sphere that was claimed to be a miniaturized nuke, and he threatened to launch a preemptive nuclear strike against South Korea. North Korea has also test fired several missiles into the Sea of Japan, and in February they launched a satellite, which was believed to be a step towards developing the ability to launch ICBMs.
