All gun purchases in California, including those made by home dealers, will be recorded on video if a state assemblyman gets his way.
AB 2459, sponsored by Assemblyman Kevin McCarty (D-Sacramento), would require a video recording of every firearms transaction.
“To start, AB 2459 will ban all home [Federal Firearms License] dealers,” a press release from the Firearms Policy Coalition states, referencing private individuals who use such a license to sell weapons as a home business. “… There are hundreds of them in the state, and they may serve areas where a traditional brick and mortar store wouldn’t prosper.”
